Something Blue

I am a very detail oriented person, so of course, when it came down to planning the wedding, nothing was overlooked. Everything from my Bronco blue shoes (the very first thing I purchased for the wedding...even before I found my dress!) to my garter was carefully selected! Have I mentioned that Marc's ring was creates using a Colorado state quarter for the mold?! Seriously, I wasn't kidding that every detail mattered!

Details:
Shoes - Originally Shoedazzle, however, I purchased them on Thredup for $11!
Flask - Purchased at Icing
"I Do" Shoe Stickers - Purchased at Icing
Broncos Garter - Purchase on Etsy, GirliesGalore, for $23.95

A HUGE thank you to Steepers Artisan Teas for making us the perfect Wedding Blend! I had no idea that this was being planned and it was truly one of the best surprises of the night! If you haven't tried Steepers yet, I highly recommend it! Teas are made locally and are absolutely delicious!

Bride To Be

My lovely ladies threw me the most amazing shower/bachelorette party yesterday! Instead of having all of our events spread out through the week, we had everything in one day and guest could come and go as they pleased. Since everyone's work schedules are crazy, this worked out perfectly! Here is how we did it...

Schedule of Events:

Bridal Shower 3:00 - 5:45
Dinner at the Melting Pot 6:00 - 7:30
Comedy Club 8:00 - 9:30
Bar Hop the Night Away!

Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop

Since the age of sixteen, I have been collecting Starbucks cards. I never really knew why. Mainly I think it was because I am an artist and I appreciate how each one is like a tiny canvas. So much thought and design goes into each one. I FINALLY figured out what to do with them! I whipped up an adorable "Starbucks guest book" for all of our partners (that's what we all call each other) to sign! Starbucks has been a HUGE part of our lives. Marc is going on ten years with the company, I am about to hit the seven year mark! Not to mention that is where our love story began!

Vance Wedding Vows

After our ceremony, I will gladly post a cop of our ceremony. But until then, it is on super top secret lock down! But I can show you the adorable binder that it is stored in!

Thank You Gifts

Eeeek! My shower is just two weeks away! We have been working like crazy to get everything finished up in time. There are so many lovely ladies I have to thank for helping bring this all together. It may not be much, but I hope these little treats show each of these women how lucky I am to have them in my life.

Bouquets for Days!

I absolutely hate fake flowers, but I think these are a nice alternative. We went WAY over our estimated headcount, which we have no problem with. We would just rather spend our flower budget on extra food and goodies than flowers that will wilt and die (how depressing is that?!) I don't want to show the total finished product until our wedding day, can you believe it is just three weeks away?! But here are some close up shots of what we have been working on! And on a side note, those book page flowers were whipped up using pages from Harry Potter. It was horrible tearing pages out, but I love that everything in our wedding has a purpose & meaning.

P.S. Marc's ring finally arrived! Looking for something different? Check out this amazing Etsy shop to get a unique and gorgeous ring!

Engagement Pictures, Part 2

As much as I love our original engagement photos, we wanted to do some in the spring/summer so we didn't have to be so limited with our location. We shot these at a GORGEOUS local park, right after my hair and makeup trial, and I am in love with how they turned out! We wanted to keep them casual and "us" and I think our photographer captured that perfectly!

Makeup Trial

I can't believe we are 50 days away! I have so much left to do, but I can't believe how much we already have checked off our "to-do" list! Budget tip: schedule your hair/makeup trial as the same day you plan on doing engagement pictures, you will feel gorgeous in front of the camera!

Eat, Drink, & Be Married

I am  so thankful that my favorite tea company, Steepers, will be providing tea for our wedding! In order to save money, we are providing our own linens and table settings. (Isn't it crazy that it is cheaper to buy than rent?!) I am all about the small details, and so for our coffee/tea bar, I just finished up stamping 200 cups! The grand total of this project was $15.98...

What You Need...
hot beverage paper cups (Costco, $9.99)
permanent ink pad
stamp (Michaels, $5.99)

Thank You's

I wanted to get my bridesmaids something special for the day of the wedding, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything in my budget. So I did what I almost always do and made my own! I made each of the girls a personalized bracelet that matches their dress. The grand total of this project (including packaging ) was $28.17 or $4.70 each...

What You Need...

beaded stretch bracelets (Mihaels, $2.49 each)
needle nose pliers
charms (Michaels, $4.98)
twine (Michaels, $1.99)
permanent ink pad
small gift boxes (Michaels, $0.79 each)
"thank you" stamp (Michaels, $1.50)

A Mood Board - Hair

As many of my friends know, I can't stand my long hair. But, when Marc and I first began talking about getting married, I found myself daydreaming of walking towards him in the perfect vintage white dress, a short veil, and long curly hair. And so, it is for that reason alone that I have not cut my hair. But believe me, these long locks are going to get donated not long after we say "I do!"
